5 Daily Practices Of A Modern Business Leader
The business leaders of old would often:
– Be first in and last out
– Sacrifice their health in the pursuit of new clients or revenue
– May fracture their relationships with family as a result of growing a business
– Rarely invest back in their wellbeing, education and team.
Business leaders have evolved in their understanding of what it takes to run a business and how playing the ‘long game’, means doing things differently.
Our;
– Health
– Mindset
– Relationships
– Routines
– Values

All impact who we are, how we conduct ourselves and the strength of our relationships. During my 20 years of working with amazing business owners and interviewing some of the most successful people in their fields, I would ask questions like:
– What does your average day look like?
– How do you maintain some sort of balance?
– What are your non-negotiables in life?
– Do you have any regrets?
– Does your health help or hinder your success?
Well……what came of this was the realization these are the FIVE things they all had in common.
Fitness: 30 – 60 minutes of movement.

- Non-prescribed style. Diversity is key.
- If travelling this is so important to help maintain routine in new surroundings.
- Strength, HIIT, long duration, tennis etc. All are beneficial.
Meditation: 5 – 20 minutes.

Family time:

- Often not prescribed or rigid with when.
- But when with the kids, they are 100% present. NO PHONES.
- For many it may not always be the length of time they would ultimately like, so when they are with their kids, they have no phones or distractions.
